We specialise in boarding broodmares, sales preparation, rest and rehabilitation and
pre-training.
Hillwood is located on the idyllic Wiltshire/Berkshire borders but is just seven miles from the M4. Hungerford, Lambourn, Newbury, Marlborough and Swindon are all within a convenient 20-minute radius.
The Stud provides a top quality service whilst recognising the importance of ‘personal touch’. Our clients feel at ease knowing that they and their horses have our full attention at all times.
Rest and Rehabilitation
Hillwood Stud has excellent facilities for breaking and pre-training horses of all ages.
Sales Preparation
Hillwood Stud consigns to all the major Yearling, Breeze Up and Breeding Stock Sales in England and to some sales abroad.
Broodmares
Hillwood Stud has facilities for permanent boarding broodmares. Our experienced team are on call 24 hours a day during the season and the foaling boxes are equipped with CCTV.
Pre-Training
Hillwood Stud has excellent facilities for pre-training horses of all ages.

The team at Hillwood Stud have looked after the majority of our horses during their summer holidays as well as the horses that need building up throughout the season. There is nobody better than them at getting muscle and condition back on to a horse that has lost its shape. Their care and attention to detail is second-to-none.
